Health and wellness in schools is becoming a bigger and bigger topic for debate by the second. People everywhere are questioning what foods are going into their children's mouths and what other activities children are doing in school to counteract all the "bad" food they are eating. Health class curriculum has changed over the years to better educate children on healthy and unhealthy foods and the required amount of time spent in gym classes has also been changed. School food policies are more prevelant in the systems. They are removing soda and snack vending machines and replacing them with healthier options. All of these issues can be closely related to the ongoing country wide problem that is known as childhood obesity. We will be touching on each individual issue and how schools are changing their policies to try and make schools a healthier place to be.

Sarah's Research Showed that there are a lot of changes taking place across many schools in the country about how they should be teaching students of the health risks of eating unhealthy. Sexual education is becoming a more talked about topic, especially now that schools are changing their health education curriculum to include more sensitive topics.
Samantha's Research Showed that all schools around the country are making changes with the food they are serving. Many states have made laws regarding whaat is and is not allowed in the cafeteria.
Brandon's Research Showed that the regulations of PE students have become more strict, and that students need PE class. Despite what some experts say, it helps.
Raquel's Research showedrevealed that healthy food, fitness programs and effective health awareness has a positive impact on childhood obesity. Recently the amount of research done on this topic has increased in the previous years, there are still a lot of studies being conducted to support the idea that childhood obesity needs to be prevented.
